The police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have arrested 87 suspected criminals in what the Command tagged: Highest Arrest Volume.
This was disclosed on Saturday while the Force HQ gave updates on police progress across the country over the past 24 hours.
According to the FCT Command, the arrests were during its Massive Coordinated Raids around 11 divisions, including, Lokogoma, Byazhin, Jikwoyi, Karmo, Nyanya, Karu, Kurudu, Zuba, Gwagwalada, Kwali, Bwari.
The First Mail newspaper gathered that operatives from 11 divisions conducted simultaneous raids across criminal hotspots and uncompleted buildings. So far, the arrests is the single largest arrest operation nationwide.
Operatives also recovered quantities of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, illicit drugs, and knives, as exhibits.
The Command reported one cultism incident during the operations.
